Considering the absurdies bestowed upon us recently by "The Science" (cf. Planet destroying cow farts, the abolition of natural immunity, men who are "really" women etc.) I'd say the entire concept of Science as an open and honest debate is under threat. Hack factories like The Guardian become increasingly shrill because they know less and less people are buying it.
