VIDEO: The Rings of Prime II: Loose Canon Rocks the Ship
Season Two is Beautiful... and terrible.
Mae Govannen everybody!
As many of you know, I’m relatively new to the whole YouTube scene, but I’ve been pouring hours into my videos daily after work, and whenever I have a spare second.
Any support you can offer would mean the world to me!
Tolkien’s secondary world is something I hold deeply dear, and—at the risk of sounding a bit pretentious—I feel compelled to speak my mind. I can’t help but watch Rings of Prime and comment on the butchery I’ve witnessed.
Watching his works being mishandled feels like an affront to the man himself, and as an author, I can't help but think how I'd feel in his place. What we’re seeing isn’t just a poor adaptation—it feels like a deliberate subversion of Tolkien’s stories, an attack on the very philosophy and storytelling that make his works timeless as if they somehow need "modernising."
Tolkien's message is something the 'new normal' folks don't want any part of--and I believe they're actively trying to destroy it.
If you share my love for Tolkien or just appreciate an honest and light-hearted critique, do take a peek! I put a lot of work into them. Thanks for your support!
